About Dr. Stromeyer

Sara Stromeyer is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. She received a doctoral degree from the University of Alabama, with a focus on emotional, behavioral, and attentional/learning disorders. Dr. Stromeyer participated in further extensive training at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC and La Rabida Children's Hospital in Chicago, with additional concentrations in pediatric medical/health psychology.

Dr. Stromeyer has also served as a past representative of the American Psychological Association Division 37 (Child and Family Policy and Practice). Additionally, she maintains a commitment to teaching and training psychology students.
Dr. Stromeyer specializes in psychological evaluation, consultation, and treatment of a variety of child and adolescent issues, including behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning disorders, and coping with acute and chronic medical conditions. While she primarily adopts a cognitive-behavioral approach, she tailors treatment to the individual and family, focusing on building good relationships.
