Jessica Adwell, C.R.N.P.

Mrs. Adwell is a board certified Psychiatric -Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating adolescents and adults ages 12-65. Mrs. Adwell began working in mental health in 2014 at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center as an inpatient psychiatric nurse. While pursuing her master’s degree at Walden University, Mrs. Adwell started working at UAB outpatient psychiatry and then transitioned to Grayson and Associates for her last year to work as a clinic nurse and to complete her preceptorship. Upon completing her graduate program, she transitioned from clinic nurse at Grayson and Associates to working as a Nurse Practitioner.

Mrs. Adwell’s primary experience has been in the treatment of patients with anxiety disorders, mood disorders and psychotic disorders including but not limited to anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders.  She also has experience in treating patients with ADHD, autism and intellectual disabilities. She focuses on patient and family education regarding treatment and management of mental health disorders. Mrs. Adwell is a firm believer that “mental health is just as important as physical health” and treatment involves an individualized plan with an emphasis on overall health and wellbeing.
