About Dr. Furlong

Dr. Furlong has worked in mental health for over 30 years and as a clinical psychologist for over 20 years. In his practice, he works with people on a wide range of psychological issues, including addictions, long-term, chronic problems, and personal and spiritual growth. He works with adults, adolescents, and couples, and has done evaluations for criminal courts. He has lived in Alabama since 1995, and has lived in many areas of the United States and overseas. He has been trained in a variety of treatment methods, including insight oriented therapy, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, hypnotherapy, and eye movement desensitization.
