About Ann Couch
Ann works with patients ranging in age from 10 and up and finds fulfillment working with those struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, grief/loss, abuse, past trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and caregiver issues. She has a heart for assisting patients who are dealing with bariatric surgery decisions as well as post-surgery issues. Ann tailors her treatment plan based on individual needs and what will be most beneficial for the patient. Most importantly, Ann treats each patient with respect and dignity. She is dedicated to helping those struggling with life and mental health issues, by working together to determine the best course of action.
Ann has been a nurse practicing in the field of bariatric surgery for over 10 years. She is a Certified Bariatric Nurse. She has worked in a variety of settings to include physician’s offices, inpatient facilities, and support groups as well as caring for her mother who lived with her the last years of her life. During her coursework at the University of Alabama, she realized her passion for those struggling with mental illnesses.
